Abu Dhabi, United Arabic Emirates - October 31, 2024: The National Academy for Childhood Development (NACD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Awal School (KBZA) to foster collaboration in childhood development, focusing on promoting Emirati values, cultural heritage, and Arabic language among younger generations. The MoU, signed during the World Early Childhood Development (WED) Forum organized by the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA), outlines a strategic framework for sharing expertise and best practices, with a focus on ongoing training and educational programs. These programs are designed to equip parents and staff with advanced knowledge in childhood development to support children’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Under the MoU, NACD will provide specialized training programs and professional development training courses for KBZA and parents, including access to the accredited Vocational Diploma in Childhood Development program. Additionally, Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Awal School will offer hands-on training opportunities for NACD’s students and prioritize its graduates for employment opportunities, as well as participation in school events and activities. Dr. Meera Saeed AlKaabi, Chief of the National Academy for Childhood Development Team, said: “This agreement aligns perfectly with the vision we share with KBZA, as both are committed to preserving the UAE's national heritage and identity while promoting the Arabic language among future generations. It also complements our efforts to provide comprehensive training programs that support the development of skilled professionals in the childhood development sector. Through this partnership we aim to build a cohesive system that qualifies and empowers caregivers for meaningful careers.” On his part, Christopher Nourse, Executive Principal of Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Awwal School, added: “This partnership is found on the shared mission of NACD and KBZA to promote national identity and preserve Emirati heritage through various programs and initiatives. The MoU represents a strategic step to strengthen and enhance community engagement and social responsibility in nurturing generations proud of their national identity, from early childhood through to their development as capable young leaders.”
